The Company: a successful history of more than fifty years

B-P's history officially starts in May 1950: Mr. Amilcare Battioni and Mr. Gianfranco Pagani establish a company initially dedicated to manufacturing farm tractors in a small workshop located in Sorbolo.

Five years later, the company changes site and begins to expand rapidly: they take the first new private works built in Sorbolo in 1953 and commence manufacturing a variety of products such as: vacuum revolving pumps, tankers for sewages and then cranes for timber.

As a result of the technological foresight of B-P the first side loader truck for timber is designed in September 1959.
This machine represented an major handling innovation, it was in Italy the first machine designed for saving space in stacking of wood and long profiles.

The following years are dedicated to improvements on the Side Loader concept and after about ten years, in 1967 B-P build on a total area of 40,000 square meters, a new production facility that covers 15000 square meters inside, exclusively designed for the manufacture of Side Loaders Trucks.

After spending several years manufacturing Containers Side Loaders with capacity from 20 up to 55 tons, the company decided to concentrate their endeavours and attentions towards the technological innovation in the field of small-medium capacity diesel side loaders trucks (from 2 up to 15 tons).

In the 1980's a new truck is designed,the Electric Side Loader from 2 up to 6 tons.Then, in 1989, B-P Battioni e Pagani S.p.A. increase their range of Electric machines designing and manufacturing Fork Lift Truck with 5 tons capacity at first, then the 6, 6.5 and 7 tons followed.
The company began to export their products to Europe in 1964, and by 1970 they are already well known all over the world.

In a few words, B-P Battioni e Pagani S.p.A. can proudly claim to have among their production range a large choice of Diesel and Electric Side Loaders able to satisfy different customers' requirements assuring comfort and safety for operators, the high quality guaranteed with the Certified System UNI EN ISO 9002 all at competitive prices.

Battioni & Pagani Group at present includes, further to the factory for manufacture of Side Loaders, a completely new state of the art factory for manufacture of vacuum revolving pumps that covers 20000 square meters inside on a total area of 50000 square meters, and a share in a foundry, making cast iron meltings, located near Ancona.
